Home > Make frangipani candles
23) How do you make frangipani candles? What supplies do
you need to make them?
Frangipani is the name for plumeria flowers in Tahiti, and the scent
is extremely soothing and fragrant, just as if you were sniffing
the brightly colored flowers. Making frangipani candles will follow
the same process as making other candles but the trick is to find
a good brand of fragrance oil to add to mimic the smell of the gorgeous
flowers.

“The Purple People Market Place” is
an online supplier of essential oils and fragrances that can be
used for making candles, dripping over potpourri to freshen the
smell, making perfumes, massage oils and soap making. They offer
the frangipani scent in an alcohol free, essential oil, perfect
for creating the frangipani-scented candles!
Melt the candle wax of your choice in your double boiler or crockpot,
to the recommended temperature indicated on the package. Just before
you are ready to pour your candle wax into the candle mold or candleholder,
add your frangipani fragrance oil and stir to mix it throughout
the wax, being careful not to over heat. You don’t want to
add the scented oil too soon, as you’ll lose some of the scent
as it keeps heating. When your candle hardens, you’ll have
the scent of frangipani every time you light your candle!
