Home > Exceed the limit of fragrance
on candles
22) How do you exceed the limit of fragrance on candles?
As you are melting your candle wax to make your fragrant candles,
read the instructions on your fragrance oils, as each brand will
have slightly different instructions and recommended amounts to
add to the candle wax. You can increase the amount of fragrance
you smell when you burn the candles by using more than the recommended
amount of fragrance oil.
You’ll want to melt your candle wax to about 170 degrees,
and keep it from going above 180 degrees as that is to hot. Stir
the wax constantly to keep it melting evenly and reduce the amount
of air bubbles. When your wax has been melted and is at the desired
temperature of 170 degrees, you can pour in the fragrance oil of
your choice and mix thoroughly so the fragrance will be evenly distributed
throughout the candles.
Pour the scented candle wax into the container or candle mold so
that it is about half full, and then add a few drops of your fragrance
oil to the top. Continue pouring your candle wax until the container
is full, and insert the wick and allow the candle to harden. Candles
with this extra fragrance will have a strong aroma even when they
are not lit!
